RON OMARA

I am a St. Francis Xavier University graduate, where I received a joint major in Sociology and Psychology. After graduation, I was humbled with the opportunity of being drafted into the Canadian Football League by the Hamilton Tiger Cats, and also spent seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks and British Columbia Lions respectively. It is a sincere pleasure to be included as an Advisor for the Ashton Dickson Youth Empowerment organization. I had the honour of meeting Ashton through competitive football in Ottawa, where we became good friends and continued to share many memories together at St. Francis Xavier University and beyond. He was one of the hardest working individuals that I have had the pleasure of having as a dear friend, and has inspired me tremendously. It would be most important as an advisor to honor Ashton Dickson by committing to youth and adult communities through academia, sport and various social supports.
